Jade comes in remarkable color variety, and each color carries its own significance — both gemologically and culturally. Here are the natural jade colors in our collection.
Imperial Green Jadeite
The most valuable jadeite color — vivid emerald saturation with high translucency. Imperial green has commanded the highest auction prices in history (the Hutton-Mdivani Necklace at $27.4 million in 2014 features Imperial green beads). In Chinese tradition, it symbolizes vitality, wealth, and the highest aspiration. Pieces with strong Imperial green color and high translucency are the foundation of investment-grade jade.
Lavender / Purple Jadeite
The fastest-rising jadeite color in 2026 markets. Lavender ranges from soft pastel to deep grape purple, often with translucent character. Symbolically associated with spiritual depth, emotional healing, and rare wisdom. Particularly meaningful for life transitions and meditative practice.
Icy / Glassy White Jadeite
Translucent, near-colorless jadeite with the inner glow of fine ice. The colloquial Chinese terms are bīng zhǒng (ice variety) and bō li zhǒng (glassy variety). Symbolically connected to mental clarity, purity, and focused thought. Increasingly popular for modern minimalist jewelry aesthetics.
Apple Green and Burmese Green Jadeite
The most widely worn jadeite color range — fresh green, often with natural mottling and color roots. Apple green represents fresh renewal and daily energy balance. Burmese green is the workhorse color of daily-wear jade jewelry — accessible, beautiful, and authentic.
Hetian Mutton-Fat White (Nephrite)
The classical Chinese jade — white nephrite from Hetian (Xinjiang) with a smooth, oily luster sometimes called "mutton fat." Hetian nephrite has been carved by Chinese artisans for thousands of years and represents traditional refinement. A 1766 Qianlong Imperial Hetian seal sold at Sotheby's for $18.76 million in 2021, second only to the Hutton-Mdivani Necklace.
Black Jadeite
Dark, dramatic jadeite ranging from deep forest green to true black. Black jadeite symbolizes protection, grounding, and strength. Particularly popular in men's jade jewelry — including our black chicken jade and dragon-bone bracelet designs.
Blue Water Jadeite
Rare blue-tinted jadeite with ethereal translucency. Distinct from "lavender" — blue water jadeite carries cool, contemplative energy and pairs beautifully with both S925 silver and white-gold settings. A newer category of jade collecting, gaining recognition particularly among modern Asian collectors.
