Every piece we sell is Type A jadeite or natural nephrite, tested by NGTC before we list it, and if any qualified lab ever reports otherwise, we refund the full price. Here is how we handle the other worries that come with buying real jade online.
All of our jade is genuine jade: jadeite or nephrite, the only two stones that count as true jade. Our jadeite is Type A, with no bleaching, polymer or dye. It is finished with a thin polishing wax, a standard final step for jade that wears off with regular wear. Our Hetian nephrite is natural, not dyed. Every piece goes to NGTC for testing before we list it, and its certificate states the material and whether it has been treated. Our guide to Type A, B and C jade explains what those letters mean.
Photos of jade show shape and color well but flatten translucency, so we'll show you the exact piece on video before you buy. Ask us for a daylight video, a backlit photo or more angles; for a bangle, that includes the inside under a flashlight. Fine stone lines are normal in natural jade, and we'd rather you see them now than after delivery.
If a piece doesn't fit or isn't right, you can request a return within 30 days of delivery, counted from the date in the carrier's tracking. Trying it on is fine as long as it comes back free of wear or damage, and the buyer pays return postage to us in China. Solid bangles and one-piece carved rings can't be resized, so size them carefully. Send us a photo of your hand with a tape measure around it and we'll suggest a bangle size; we can also hold a bangle while you confirm. Buying jade from China with BMjade means tracked shipping, duties paid in advance and a refund or reshipment if a parcel goes missing. We process orders within 3 business days and ship with DHL, UPS or FedEx. Standard shipping is free on every order and takes 7 to 15 business days; expedited takes 4 to 7 business days and costs $15 to the US. Jade is priced mainly by color, translucency and texture, far more than by weight, so two pieces that look alike in photos can cost very different amounts. Every piece of certified jadeite and nephrite we sell comes with its own identification certificate from NGTC, China's National Gemstone Testing Center. NGTC is a government-backed national lab, not a private company, and we never certify our own pieces. A pair of earrings shares one certificate.

Yes. Jadeite is the brighter, more translucent jade most people picture, and ours comes from Myanmar. Nephrite has a soft, satiny luster and is one of the toughest gem materials there is; ours is Hetian nephrite from Xinjiang. Both are real jade. All of our jadeite is Myanmar jade: Hong buys the rough at Hpakant, the country's main jadeite mining area, and we cut and finish it in Kunming. Our nephrite is Hetian nephrite from Xinjiang, bought as rough from suppliers. NGTC doesn't print origin on jadeite certificates, so we state the origin on each product page.
